Ocean Textures
Wondering the main beach in Anglesea Victoria. I encountered a common colour scheme of plums, purples and pastels as I explored the endless cliff faces and studied the shores for treasure. A stickler for discovering the uncommon and unnoticed, my eyes fell on the beautiful, contrasting colours and textures of dark seaweed, roughly strewn over smooth, apricot stones.

Beach Jewels
Image taken in Anglesea Victoria, during an evening walk along the beach in search of the kind of beauty only found in fine detail. I was thrilled to discover this little mass of seaweeds and corals, wondering what prior life it had lived as it floated along through the ocean day and night. The name of this piece was inspired by its correlation to jewellery; sparkling, attractive and intricate.

Coastal Dreaming
This image was taken at dusk in Anglesea Victoria, when the sun was low and the ocean began to soften and turn from ultramarine to aqua. The contrast of these blues behind golden grasses bobbing in the breeze was enough to capture my attention for this dreamy landscape scene.

Footprints
This piece has become a favourite of mine. Taken on a hot summers day at a local beach in Kingscliff (Northern NSW). I noticed a string of bright green ivy weaving its way through the sand. I was impressed by its efforts to grow and thrive in such an environment, and admired the way its root system remained under the sand, with little surprises of ivy heads poking their heads into the sunshine and providing the only clue as to where the plant was headed to next. To me these little plants constantly adapt in meaning: a trail of prints, or coffee beans? I selected a black & white finish as I wanted to emphasise the intrigue of these bold, contemporary, ever-changing shapes on their adventure through the dunes.

Ikara - Flinders
Upon moving to South Australia, I became just another tourist who had viewed (but not visited) the online photos of dreamy desert landscapes, winding dirt roads and silhouetted gum trees against golden sunsets - all of which make up the Ikara - Flinders Ranges. After finally making the drive up to the region, I discovered that the photos did not lie: even the clouds glowed with faint oranges and pinks as they reflected the deep red sands, and mountain crags that resemble those found in Arizona rose up steeply all around. My prayers were answered as I looked back through my photos after the trip and discovered I too now possessed a photo that for me reflected the magic of the area.

Deeper Still
TInspired by Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock, if Andy on hears My voice and opens the door, I will come into him and dine with him, and he with Me. When a person accepts Jesus into their heart it can be as a slightly open door with Jesus standing at the entrance waiting to be invited further in. However, a person may be afraid to allow him in more because of past wounds and experiences. The light of the Lord is in their heart they can begin to sense Jesus’ presence and His shadow offer their life but only on a surface. Jesus is loving and patient and calls gently to them to go deeper still with Him so they can commune more deeply together as one in their heart.

Safe Harbour
From Matthew 5:14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden Jesus has called us not to hide but to be lights to the world, shining into the storm of life to guide people to safe harbour, a safe place to encounter our beloved Jesus it does not matter if all people do or do not follow the light, some will turn back into the darkness, and others will ignore the light leading to their own destruction. But there are those who will follow the light despite the storm until they have come to the place where they encounter Jesus themselves. This is the reason why we need to shine for those who are seeking knowing or unknowing.

It's a Ghost!
"At once we saw him from behind a wave, glowing with unearthly light. The tempest warping around him like the natural elements could not touch him. He didn't look at us. We were filled with terror."
This piece was inspired by the biblical tale of Christ walking on water. It highlights that the solution to mortal peril is not at all what we expect. And that our salvation comes in a form that might scare us.
